Lightweight Versatile Crossover

The V-STROM 250SX. The “S” stands for “sports” and the “X” stands for “crossover.” With the kind of presence to make onlookers do a double-take and the performance to back it up, this sport adventure tourer blends rugged versatility with stylish, modern looks. Equally at home cruising in town as it is rolling along an unpaved road in search of the next scenic vista, the V-STROM 250SX caters to riders who want their motorcycle to be able to take them down many different kinds of roads, and look good while doing it. A rider-focused feature set adds convenience and comfort to an already eye-catching and tough machine. It features rugged yet sporty looks, slim proportions, a lightweight feel and the legendary reliability synonymous with the V-STROM series. From beginners to returning riders to the well-experienced looking for a lightweight breath of fresh air,  the V-STROM 250SX delivers all that and more.

Engine Performance

The 249cm3 4-stroke 1-cylinder 4-valve oil-cooled SOHC engine featured in the   V-STROM 250SX feels strong and linear, offering excellent torque at low  rpm and a smooth run up, making it easy to use for beginners and veteran riders alike, as well as suiting it to a wide variety of situations, from riding in town to high-speed cruising. The Suzuki Oil Cooling System (SOCS) warms the engine up quickly and keeps it at the optimum temperature exceptionally well for ideal temperature management. It also contributes to the engine's overall light weight and the V-STROM 250SX's brisk, nimble feel.

Chassis Design

The design concept behind the V-Strom 250SX was “Toughness In a Slender Shell”.

Toughness comes from it’s rugged, adventure-inspired looks, confidence-inspiring chassis. The slender shell refers to a slim exterior shape owing to the compact engine design that appears to be wrapped in a “protector-like” shell. Its nimble handling and light weight make it simple to maneuver through the city. Its sporty performance brings excitement and thrills across twisty roads making it a lightweight versatile crossover.

The side panels under the rider’s seat are kept as compact and slim as possible thanks to the engine’s compact layout to allow an easy reach to the ground, but also a solid feel of the bike while riding. They also keep a slim profile to the machine, so that it feels stable and easy to handle at slow speeds, which is advantageous when riding in the city and parking. The ideal 835 mm seat height and well-balanced proportions offer a spacious and comfortable riding position with a high and clear view of the road, ideal both for visibility in the city and comfort on long journeys, and the combination of the seat shape and side panels offer an easy reach to the ground.
